hair), around 6-8 lbs.

American Baby Magazine Cover Contest

From now thru Dec. 18, proud parents can enter their mini me's in the American Baby Magazine Cover Contest. Babies must be between the age of three months to two years old and the photos can't be more than a month old (at the time of entry). 

Five lucky finalists will be flown to NY for a photo shoot and a chance for their lucky baby to appear on the May 2011 cover of the mag.  Grand prize winner also receives a thousand bucks!  Who can't use the cash right about now?? You can upload up to six shots, so get jr. ready for his/her close-up, after nap time of course.

"Each year when we kick off our cover photo contest, the first thing parents want to know is: how is the winner chosen," said Laura Kalehoff, executive editor, of American Baby. "It's not a secret! Our editors base their choice on one-third each of the child's appearance, the child's personality as reflected in the photo, and the quality of the photo. Basically, as a parent, if you think it's a cute and compelling photo of your baby and it's of good quality, submit it!"

Dora the Explorer Sues Nickelodeon, MTV, Viacom

The 14-year-old actress, Caitlin Sanchez, who has done the voice over for Dora the Explorer is suing Nickelodeon, Viacom, and MTV networks. Read the whole story at NY Daily News.

All I can say is...parents, read the contracts and if you don't understand them, find a good lawyer who will explain it and if you're being pressured to sign something, don't sign it.  I know it's easier said than done because you don't want to pass up opportunities for your child but at the end of the day we are our kids' best advocates.  If we don't understand something and sign it any way, then shame on us.

Kortney's Hyundai & Mini Wheat's Commercials

Hyundai's Hope on Wheels commercial starts running today and the Frosted Mini Wheats has been running for about a month and we FINALLY saw it yesterday while watching Lifetime. Enjoy! :)
