Goodbye Long, Hot Summer

Labor Day is one of those holidays I don’t really look forward to anymore. It signifies the end of a free-wheeling summer where the days were long and the nights were longer. Now it’s back to the pressure of getting my daughter to school on time, home work in the evening and two hours of sunlight. I’ve been really bad and my blog went on an involuntary summer vacation. Didn’t plan it, the writing just didn’t happen. Let’s see, what I did on my summer break? Actually, it’s what did Kortney do on her summer break since it’s all about her anyway. She started it off in May with a part in the Transformer’s 2 movie and shot two commercials – one for Hallmark and one for Walmart. It wasn’t all work and no play, she’s only six afterall. She took a couple of trips to visit fam, played host to out-of-town guests, and enjoyed her lanyard making days at summer camp.
